This course
focued on indoor and outdoor air pollution, with an emphasis on
giving students skills to solve pollution/toxicity problems in
their own environments. In the context of studying air pollution,
many basic principles of toxicology and risk assessment were addressed,
including chemical properties, dose-response, chemical absorption
and biotransformation. The workshop contained a balance of lectures
and engaging hands-on and computer-based activities.
