| Building
bridges between groups and cultures has been Marti's delight,
in one form or another, for over twenty years. Today,
as director of the Community Outreach and Education
Program at SWEHSC, she draws upon her experience in
order to share information resulting from the research of toxicologists
and
environmental health scientists with the public and the K-12 education
community and to facilitate partnerships between these groups.
Mediating and sharing information has also been the focus of Marti's own education, she holds a Masters of Library Science in Information Resources and Library Science and a Masters in Education. Marti has concentrated on library services and reading within the Native American population. Never content to rest, Marti is closing in on a doctoral degree in Library Science with a minor in Environmental Health. |
